Lamborghini Countach Joins Villa Erba Auction; Check Out The 14-Carat Gold Accents!

Lamborghini Countach is taking center stage in the upcoming RM Sotheby's Villa Erba auction in Italy by the end of the month. The classic supercar has been refreshed with 14-carat gold accents!

Elegant supercars gather once a year at the RM Sotheby's Villa Erba auction. It is being held at the 19th-century mansion, near the shore of Italy's Lake Como, every year. The event gathers the rich and famous, who are looking for an extra luxurious car to add to their fleet of elegant cars.

This year's Villa Erba auction will include the 1987 Lamborghini Countach QV. The elegant car looks ordinary from the outside, and many would think it is the usual Countach.

However, once guests will try to look on the inside of the refreshed Countach, they will find some great treasures. The white on white 1987 Lamborghini Countach QV that will be auctioned has been adorned with gold!

The dashboard, gated gearshift, and steering column have been accentuated with gold. These aspects of the elegant car became more luxurious with a 14-carat gold plate.

The owner of the concept of adding gold accents was not clearly defined. However, reports only mentioned that the Dutch owner contacted Lamborghini Polo Storico to restore the metal trims which resulted to a golden trim.

The 1987 Lamborghini Countach QV is a special luxury car that only two units were reportedly produced. There is no update on the whereabouts of the other unit, as only one unit will be coming to the auction.

The Countach is one model that every big boy would wish to include in his fleet of toys. However, only a chosen few were given the chance to have owned such model.

It can be recalled that the Countach once belong to the boxer, Mike Tyson. Singer Rod Stewart has also owned one, as well as Simon Le Bon of Duran Duran. Moreover, even Prince Jefri of Brunei has also owned a Lamborghini Countach.

The 1987 Lamborghini Countach QV that will be auctioned will most likely start bidding at $518,000. RM Sotheby's Villa Erba auction will open its gate on May 27.
