The giant tech Microsoft has shut their mouths on anything about the Surface Pro 5 making many consumers and fans wonder when the much-anticipated tablet will be released. The device has been its best-selling product in 2015 to 2016. But in the past few months, Microsoft's tablet sales have fallen dramatically.

When the company launched the current Surface Pro way back in 2015, the tablet had the latest hardware of the time. But since it has been years since the last update, the current version are lacking when it comes to performance.

Since last year, a lot of market watchers have been speculating on what the Surface Pro 5 will be. Aside from the fact that it will be using Intel's Kaby Lake hardware, many have given their opinions on what the display of the tablet will be. Few argued that the next-generation tablet will keep the 2K resolution, but some market watchers claim that Microsoft could upgrade to a 4K display.

When it comes to design, there are many speculations that the next-generation tablet will not include major design changes aside from the new Kaby Lake chips. Even the Surface port will be retained on the new design. Many fans have been asking for the Thunderbolt 3.0 port, and fortunately, the new Kaby Lake series has native support for the interface.

Meanwhile, there are speculations that Microsoft will launch a new style pen for the Surface Pro. Based on the newest patent filed by Microsoft, it would likely include some minor changes on the stylus pen including a built-in rechargeable battery. The said battery can be charged wirelessly when attached to the tablet.

Furthermore, many fans have been eagerly waiting for the Surface Pro 5 release, but there has been no confirmation from the tech giant about when it intends to release the next-gen tablet thereby disappointing many fans around the globe. As with the price, Microsoft will likely not introduce a pricing hike on the next-generation Surface Pros.
