2017 Nissan Titan XD: Comfortable Sitting Between Light And Heavy Duty Pick-Up Classification

The 2017 Nissan Titan XD comfortably sits in between light-duty and heavy-duty pick-up truck. There is definitely nothing wrong there, as anything in the middle neutralizes everything. For those who are looking for just the right-sized truck, the Titan XD may be a good option. But is it really?

The 2017 Nissan Titan XD also boasts of non-traditional mashup of the best, and even the worst of light and heavy duty pick-up truck's attributes. This blend has easily divided opinions of industry experts, with some completely impressed while others think, "What was Nissan thinking?"

Anyway, for what its worth, the Titan XD offers five new options for this year with different characteristics. The Heavy Duty Front GAWR package is focused on having stiffer front springs while the Leather Package shrouds all seats with leather with front passenger's seat power adjustments.

The Chrome and Texas Titan Edition has chrome practically on all of its surface and includes unique badging. Finally, the Platinum Reserve Bed Utility bundles rear-bumper step and power locking tailgate.

The SV Crew Cab starts at $41,395 with the diesel powertrain setting one back $5,050 more. With the addition of AWD on all model is an additional $3,000. The Standard SV includes bed-mounted goose neck hitch and Class IV trailer hitch. It also comes with power-adjustable and heated tow mirrors, among others.

The 2017 Titan XD, on the other hand, provides a smooth and comfortable ride because of its seats. It is highly recommended to choose the 18-inch wheels instead of the 20-inch option. This pick-up truck is also spacious, with the space accented by good materials for its class.

The Titan XD will not easily be considered if one is looking for a fast pick-up, but it can tackle serious heavy lifting. With that said, this pick-up still remains compliant for daily driving coupled with performance expected from a heavy duty pick-up.

The 2017 Nissan Titan XD may not easily be one's choice as there are more known and famous competition in its segment. However, it does provide a good option for someone who is undecided. It may not be a complete package, but it comes close to being one. No vehicle is perfect, and this year's Titan XD is not an exception.
