Razer is now trying to eliminate the wired mice for pro gamers with its brand new wireless mouse called Razer Lancehead. The company's new wireless mouse is said to be the most reliable ever made.

The new device will be powered by Razer's new Adaptive Frequency Technology that allows it to automatically switch between the strongest frequencies available within its 2.4 GHz band resulting in lag-free mouse movement. It comes with a resolution accuracy of 99.4 percent that enables users to save mouse settings directly to the device while at the same time, uploading them to the cloud.

Razer claims that its AFT technology has the capability to scan available wireless communication channels 1000 times per second constantly. The mouse works in the 2.4 GHz band used by Bluetooth, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, and all other kinds of consumer electronics devices such as baby monitors and cordless telephones.

In addition, the Razer Lancehead wireless mouse laser sensor has a claimed tracking sensitivity of up to 16,000 DPI and a speed of up to 210 IPS. The company also boasts that the Lancehead is still able to track movements when under 50 G of acceleration.

The dimension of the mouse measures 4.6" x 2.8" x 1.5" and weighs around 3.9 oz (110 g). It will come with a 7' USB charging cable with braided sleeving.

Meanwhile, Razer is releasing the Lancehead and Lancehead Tournament Edition gaming mice for $140 and $80, respectively. The Tournament Edition will be the wired version of this mouse that uses an optical sensor. Both devices have the same body and the mechanical mouse switches that Razer design in collaboration with Omron.

The new Razer Lancehead wireless mouse will ship in May or June in the U.S. for $140. For pro-gamers who wants to stick with the wired mouse, they can pick the Tournament Edition with a tracking speed of up to 450 IPS. Other specs of the wired version are otherwise the same to the wireless version.
