The 2017 Kia Picanto has been set to go on sale next month in the UK, beginning on May 1. Prices have been revealed ahead of the release. Kia expects the new model to maintain the brand's good sales volume achieved early this year.
The new Picanto will soon hit the showrooms in the UK. The automaker has just revealed the prices and customers will most likely grab this treat.
The entry level "1" trim car will only cost £9,450 ($12,200). This variant comes with a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder engine that can produce 66bhp.
The mid-grade "2" trim level will now cost only £10,750 ($13,900). This variant also has the same engine but with an upgrade on interiors.
For customers who prefer more powerful specs, the Kia Picanto variant with a 1.25-liter engine will be offered with a price tag of £11,250 ($14,500). This variant can deliver 83bhp.
The level "2" trim automatic Picanto will be offered for only £11,900 ($15,350). This variant has the same 83bhp 1.25-liter engine. Whereas, the level "3" trim price tag begins from £12,650 ($16,300).
The 2017 Kia Picanto GT series will also be part of the promo. UK buyers can avail of the GT Line for £11,950 ($15,400) while the GT-Line S will come with a £13,950 ($18,000) price tag.
The 2017 Kia Picanto is expected to help maintain the good sales performance of the brand from the first quarter of the year. According to Paul Philpott, Kia UK president, and CEO, the release of the new Picanto is very timely. Apparently, dealers are hoping to sustain the growing sales record achieved in the first quarter of the year, and it is highly expected that the new Picanto will play a big role in maintaining the sales volume.
Paul Philpott also shared their forecast for the 2017 Kia Picanto. According to the CEO, they are expecting a total of 15,000 units for the first year sales of the new Picanto.
