It is already a given that Google will release second-generation Pixel phones this year. Such upgraded version is expected to even be better than the already great Pixel and Pixel XL. Aside from the upgraded Pixel and Pixel XL, a third one is also reported to be underway.
It has recently been discovered that three anticipated devices are codenamed Muskie, Walleye, and Taimen. It is speculated the Muskie may be Google Pixel 2 and Walleye as Google Pixel 2 XL. The Taimen may be a completely different device, which may somehow be comparable to iPhone SE vs. iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
One notable of the three Google devices is its processor. It is expected to use the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, MSM998 to be specific. Using such powerful processor did not come as a surprise. As Google Pixel and Pixel XL were highly rated and well-received after release, it is expected to carry on such legacy for using the best there is.
The three upcoming devices are rumored to have impressive camera capabilities. Reports suggest that it will focus on low-light photography, able to produce crisper and quality images even in the absence of adequate lighting. The devices are also expected to come significantly dust and water proof.
The device codenamed Taimen is one that particularly stands out. It is reported to be the largest of all three talked about devices. As earlier mentioned, it may be a budget phone, having the features of both Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL but at a more affordable cost. However, because of its sheer size, it may be a tablet or a larger Pixel branded phone.
There is nothing official about this yet. However, such leaks pointing to the direction of three Google Pixel devices to be released this year is plausible and credible. Official word has yet to come from the manufacturer and will immediately be reported as soon as new developments surface.
