Mercdes-AMG Project One: To Be Showcased This September With Over 1,000-HP!

Mercedes-AMG Project One is expected to take center stage at the Frankfurt Motor Show this coming September. This hypercar will bring in over 1,000-horsepower to boot, which is obviously insanely fast. Industry experts are definitely looking forward to seeing what this supercar has to offer other than its speed.

The Mercedes-AMG Project One is reported to already have been shown to some select customers. This hypercar is expected to incorporate a 1.6-liter V-6 hybrid powertrain which took its cue from Formula One program. The six-cylinder is also expected to be powered by at least four electric motors. These engines will be located at each of the front wheels, one on the crankshaft, and the fourth giving power to the electric turbocharger.

With all of these working in complete orchestration, the Mercedes-AMG Project One is expected to produce 1,020-horsepower! This is definitely noteworthy simply because of the fact that not many have attempted to come up with a vehicle which can easily go over 1,000-horsepower. The Project One can also run for up to 30 miles solely on electric power.

This Mercedes-AMG supercar will be extremely limited. Earlier reports reveal that there will only be between 250 and 275 units to be made. Anything limited should come with a hefty price tag which is definitely the case for the Project One. One Mercedes-AMG Project One is worth about 23 Teslas, having a price tag of $2.3 million.

The Mercedes-AMG Project One is also expected to weigh 1,300 kg. This hypercar being lightweight is one of the reasons for its insanely fast speed. More details will definitely be provided as the Frankfurt Motor Show draws nearer. As this point, a teaser image has been circulating online which provides a good silhouette of what could be the world's fastest car the moment it gets officially launched.
