The mobile device rat race is on ultimate high as LG enters the picture. Its upcoming handset, the LG G6 is reported to be better than Samsung S8 in more ways than one. The battle of Korean tech giants is unstoppable as LG does its best to outdo Samsung.
The LG G6 is considered one step better than Samsung S8 for a myriad of reasons. For one, the G6 is as comfortable to handle as the S8. The LG G6 comes with a different screen proportion than its previous smartphones with a ratio of 18:9. This means it won't stretch the hands while managing its bigger display.
There are also no sloping edges to the LG G6. This promises even better handling compared to the Samsung S8's design which may prove to be a little uncomfortable over time. Its design may somehow result to erroneous touches in terms of its ergonomics.
The fingerprint sensor plays a good part in this competition. While Samsung S8's fingerprint sensor is located right next to the rear-facing camera lens, the LG G6's is located centrally. Samsung says that the fingerprint sensor may not be utilized for the most part because of its iris scanner capabilities, however, its location is considered as one its major flaws according to industry experts.
The S8, however, is better in terms of its processor. The G6 uses Snapdragon 821 chip, which is considered Qualcomm's best chip in 2016. On the other hand, Samsung S8 uses Exynos 8895 chip which is the equivalent of Qualcomm's best chip in 2017, the Snapdragon 835. For users who are into processor capabilities, better go for the S8.
At the end of the day, both the Samsung S8 and LG G6 are two of the best mobile devices from two of the best Korean tech giants. While some would easily support Samsung S8 for loyalty and reputation (forgetting about the Note 7 fiasco), a good number of supporters are very much willing to wait and see what LG G6 can bring on the table.
