Hennessey is at it again and is looking at lifting the 840 horsepower of the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon to 1,500 horses. How demonic can the Demon actually go?

If you think 840 horses is already fast enough and that launching a 0 to 60 mph in 2.3 seconds and a 9.65-second quarter mile is insane, well not for the American tuning house that recently released the Camaro ZL1 Exorcist and its 1000 horsepower that was set to exorcise the Demon in its tracks. Hence, they set their plans on the world's quickest road-legal production car.

First off, Hennessey will offer a selection of upgrade package for the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. In fact, Texas grease monkey tuners are working on the final package. But they also are planning for additional upgraded headers, beef up the 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 engine, and of course, rework the Demon's supercharger so that a powerful 1500 hp will be delivered.

Wait. That's not all of it.

Since the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon doesn't officially come with a roll cage, Hennessey is offering this and note that it will be an NHRA-legal roll cage. With a roll cage, the Demon might not actually be "banned" by NHRA-sanctioned events and owners get to be able to try their skills at a record sub-9.9 seconds for the quarter mile.

Lastly, a parachute will be offered. Yes, the Demon gets one. If you are going that fast, some form of safety, or insurance for that matter, wouldn't hurt a bit, well just in case.

Tuning the Demon to be even more demonic is pretty much in the lines of absurdity and pure powerful awesomeness. But Hennessey hasn't yet disclosed when the upgrade package for the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon will be available for buyers, let alone the cost.
