2017 Chevrolet FNR-X Concept: An All-purpose Sports Concept Vehicle Made Its World Premiere At Auto Shanghai 2017

During the Shanghai Auto Show two years ago, Chevrolet captured everyone's attention when they released the so-called "FNR" or Find New Roads car concept. Now its back as the 2017 Chevrolet FNR-X Concept with all-new impressive features with it.

The FNR-X concept is a crossover and is a plug-in electric vehicle with an exterior design that shows the combination of the usual Chevy look and a universal crossover design. It is equipped with a unique rear-hinged door that can be controlled by a remote that ensures an easy entry and exit. It also has a dynamic digital LED headlights and taillights with a combination of the brand's special dual-element light design.

The 2017 Chevrolet FNR-X Concept features a switchable wheel blades that can be adjusted when the speed of the car is increasing. It also comes with an Intelligent Adaptive Control system, active grille shutter, an enhanced aerodynamic performance which improves the front and rear spoilers, and sides skirts that move up and down in different driving modes.

Inside the FNR-X Concept, it has a six separate infotainment screen that has a similar shape of the grille which is one of the cabin's many hexagonal elements. Meanwhile, the organic LED technology of the vehicle is used to assist the screen-based connectivity functions for each passenger. As to the car's steering wheel and dashboard, it comes with a sporty integrated design.

As mentioned earlier, the 2017 Chevrolet FNR-X Concept is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle that has a capability to switch from its engine and into an electric motor. This concept also offers two kinds of driving modes, namely V for Versatility and S for Sports mode. These modes modify the car's suspension and handling profile from its adaptive suspension that adjusts ground clearance. In this year's ongoing Shanghai Auto Show, Chevrolet hasn't mentioned any information as to the car's price and the start of delivery, but it is expected to hit the road soon.
