King Kong Is Coming To The Small Screen

Warner Bros. has started the production of a TV show, which will follow the story of “Kong: Skull Island”. The king of monsters – King Kong, is returning to contemporary culture and for the better or worse, the movies and show are already a fact. All that is left is to wait and pray for the studio not to ruin a production with such high potential.

The 2014 “Godzilla” movie was the beginning of a giant monster franchise, which will culminate with a “King Kong vs Godzilla” movie. Now, after “Kong: Skull Island” has been revealed, now another production is ready to hit the screens.

According to The Verge, there “King Kong: Skull Island” is a TV targeting production, which will both expand the “Kong” universe, but will also have its own storyline, which will be considered separate from the movie series. The TV show will follow the misadventure of a group of scientists who have ended up on Skull Island and have to explore, learn and survive in its harsh environment. The premise of the show brings about memories from “Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s The Lost World”, which was a hit show back in the 90’s about a group of adventurers stuck in a prehistoric world.

It is reported by Comic Book, that the show has not yet found its TV host, so in the coming weeks, it is expected that the creators of the series will share news about the network which has decided to adopt the project. The monster universe set my Warner Bros. is expected to keep on growing, as the first two movies in the series have managed to accumulate $1 billion in box office revenue. Will there be a “Godzilla” TV show too? Will the studio announce a new and probably original monster flick? Or will become well known in the coming years? There is no official release date set for “King Kong: Skull Island” TV show.
