Aston Martin V8 Vantage S Great Britain Edition has made its global premiere at the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show. The special model has created for China alone and sports a new body paint and accents but will have the same powerful specs underneath. Only five units will be produced so buyers should rush to get one.
The limited edition was designed to be included in the "Q by Aston Martin - Commission" process. The goal of the process is to feature concept in the potential of fully blown bespoke creations but will be produced as a limited run.
Apparently, the automaker just wants to introduce such limited edition to the Chinese market. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage S Great Britain Edition costs 2,088,000 RMB ($303,000).
The limited edition may not stay longer in the China showrooms as Aston Martin only planned to produce only five units. Interested buyers must rush to get hold of their unit before the limited edition model vanishes from the showroom.
The Aston Martin V8 Vantage S Great Britain Edition that will be sold in China is basically the same with the standard V8 Vantage S. However, there will be few revisions to mark its limited edition personality.
The limited edition model will have a Stratus White body paint. The side mirrors will have a blue accent, as well as the rear diffuser and taillight inserts, while the exterior wing badges are in red, white and blue.
Furthermore, the limited edition model will have a bespoke "wave" quilting. The cabin will now have an Aurora Blue leather trims. Whereas the rotary switches will sport an anodized blue finish and the Union Flag embroidery.
The special car will retain its engine. It will still sport the same V8 4.7-liter engine which produces 430 hp and 361 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate to 62 mph in just 4.8 seconds.
Meanwhile, aside from the debut of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage S Great Britain Edition, the automaker also featured another model at the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show. The new Rapide AMR also made its Asian premiere at the stage of the auto show.
