Hyundai has walked a long way since the days of the first Sonata and now, the 2018 rework of the model will shoot the company straight into the seventh generation market. Here are the most notable changes coming with the latest update added to the legacy vehicle Hyundai Sonata 2018.

Hyundai has released the newest update to the Sonata series, introducing the 2018 Hyundai Sonata. Motor1 reports that the reworks on the exterior include hood rework with cascading grille and updated front fascia with vertical LED running lights and full LED headlight, as an available option for buyers. LED taillights have also been introduced, bringing the model in terms with present times. The light updates and the changed appearance of the hood offer a much sleeker, futuristic design, with just a hint of sports look, without startling the casual driver.

In short terms, the 2018 Hyundai Sonata visual update has successfully translated the familiar vehicle into present times. The car has officially been released in South Korea back in March and will soon reach an official release for North America, during the New Your Auto Show.

It is not only the exterior which has received changes. The 2018 Hyundai Sonata has also received a series of interior changes, most of which have been highlighted by Car and Driver. Even though not a change quite crucial for the car’s performance, the knob on the automatic shift has been redesigned. The HVAC buttons have also passed through some re-designing procedures, as they have been made to look classier than before.

Sad news for old schoolers is that the CD has been completely removed from the car’s interior and now, the touchscreen info system is staying in the middle of the console, surrounded by two re-designed fans. Qi wireless charging, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto have also been included in the standard 2018 Hyundai Sonata. 2018 Hyundai Sonata will soon be released for purchase in North America.
