The new SEAT Arona teaser image has been released prior to its official debut in the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show in September. It appears that the new compact SUV has borrowed some designs from the current SEAT Ateca.

The official teaser image of the new SEAT Arona posted on Twitter shows the new SUV in dark facade. Although the teaser is designed with two heavy spotlights focused on the new Arona, the SUV on center stage has been projected in a darkened image, trying to conceal the actual design.

However, car analysts were too quick to decipher some design details of the new SUV in the teaser image. By lightening the picture, the filtered image reveals significant details on the new shape of the new SUV, as well as its lightings.

The new SEAT Arona seems to have taken its inspiration from SEAT Ateca's design language. The former appears to have the same headlights and LED daytime running lights on its front fascia.

The small grille of the current SEAT Ateca can also be spotted on the filtered teaser image of the new SEAT Arona. In addition, the latter seems to have the same sharp body with the former.

The filtered teaser image seems to have revealed that the roofline of the new Arona tends to slope greatly towards the rear. The new SUV will also have shorter overhangs on the front and rear section.

Meanwhile, the new SEAT Arona is reportedly being produced at the automaker's plant in Martorell near Barcelona. SEAT CEO Luca de Meo confirmed this at the company's press conference last year at the Paris Motor Show. Luca de Meo further explained that the SUV was named Arona representing an area in Spain's Canary Islands.
