2017 Toyota GT86 made its reveal at the 2016 Goodwood Festival and has released some further information about its new model. The new sports car from Toyota had its face lifted plus a mildly upgraded cabin, and a new and improved engine and suspension.
A bigger front grille is added to give the 2017 Toyota GT86 a sportier look. New bumper design, LED headlamps, revised fog light housings, and 17-inch alloy wheels also come with a new concept. The biggest upgrade that Toyota has made to the car is its bigger LED rear lights that give the car a more distinctive glow during night time. A newly improved rear spoiler and front splitter are also added to improve the car's aerodynamics.
Inside the GT86 shows a slightly luxurious interior. Toyota has added a bit of Alcantara leather to the doors and dashboard. The model's PRO trim adds heated seats along with the handy audio controls like DAB radio, cruise control, hill start assistant, keyless go, and Bluetooth that is located near the steering wheel. This car allows connectivity much easier to the driver, while a small 4.2-inch screen has also replaces the old car's analog fuel gauge. Meanwhile, a new track mode is used to tune the vehicle's electronic safety system with a "fully off" setting. Aluminum pedals and heated mirrors are also available.
The GT86 is equipped with a 2.0-liter flat-four petrol engine with 197 bhp that hasn't completely change from the previous model. As to the car's chassis, it is strengthened while the steering and shocks are changed a bit to improve the agility and rigidity of the car.
Toyota offers two models for the 2017 Toyota GT86, the 2017 Toyota GT86, and 2017 Toyota GT86 Pro. The starting price of the model is estimated over £26,410. The said price already includes the 17-inch alloy wheels, Toyota infotainment system, push-button start, and the newly design headlights while the Pro model is estimated to range up to £27,560 that has heated seats, suede trim on the door and dashboard, Alcantara leather seat trim and a revised rear wing.
