HTC U is reported to be a good addition to the already exciting mobile handset rat race. With all the latest smartphones being released left and right, the HTC U may well be one of the better options soon to be available by the most discerning of users.
If HTC U's specs are to be based on recent leaked reports, then this mobile handset is promising. Welcome to the world of Ocean Note, the other name of HTC U! This mobile handset promises to give good competition to the popular ones recently released such as Samsung S8.
Some current notable information is reported HTC U will have a curved glass display with a reflective glass back. The fingerprint scanner is underneath the Home button in the front (at least it didn't go for the trend that Samsung started for having the scanner on the back). Its reflective glass back definitely adds class and sleekness to the entire look and feel of the mobile device.
It is expected to run on Android 7.1 Nougat and will have 5.5-inch QHD display with Gorilla Glass 5 on top. Leaks also somehow revealed that it will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM options.
Its imaging capacity will provide powerful video and imaging capacity for having 12-megapixel Sony IMX362 sensor at the back and 16-megapixel IMX351 sensor on the front. This makes the HTC U unique as most handsets have the most powerful specs for the rear-facing camera. Having this set-up suggests the HTC U being a selfie-centric handset.
Unfortunately, not many users will be impressed as reports suggest that it will not have the 3.5mm audio jack. There is no official word if it is to follow the lead of Apple for ditching the audio jack and instead of replacing it with an AirPod. The HTC U is expected to come with sensors which allow users to perform various functions with simple gestures such as squeezing or swiping along its sides.
