'Pokemon GO' Easter Event Ending Soon, Summer Event With Legendaries, Trading To Follow?

"Pokemon GO" players should prepare for the great months ahead of the AR game. After the Easter Event, which is currently live, other events are already planned. But what is most intriguing is the said "huge" summer event that will bring some of the most awaited features.

Niantic Asian General Manager Yoshiji Kawashima recently revealed the plans of adding soon a PvP mode and trading. These features are standard for other "Pokemon" titles, but the mobile game did not incorporate these, leading many to their disappointment. Fortunately, "Pokemon GO" will accommodate these soon.

"I hope you are looking forward to this huge event this summer," Kawashima said. "Please look forward to it. Engineers are working hard now so that new functions can be implemented."

The "Pokemon GO" summer event may also bring the Generation 1 Legendary Pokemon. Mewtwo, Mew, and the Legendary Birds are still missing from the Gen 1 Pokedex and it's high time for these to finally appear in the wild.

Perhaps not coincidental, "Pokemon GO" will celebrate its first anniversary this summer. This explains why the event will be big. It should also be the perfect moment to introduce the Legendaries that every player has been waiting for.

"Pokemon GO" came out in July, so the chance is high that Niantic will roll out the summer update at this month. However, there are no concrete details yet on what exactly can be expected when spring ends.

Meanwhile, players are currently enjoying the "Pokemon GO" Easter event that allows them to get 5km and 10km Pokemon from 2km eggs. Players also earn double XP (or multiplied by 4 if with Lucky Egg) and more Candies from hatching. Lucky Eggs have a 50 percent discount as well.

The "Pokemon GO" Easter event ends on April 20. Fans can then look forward to the upcoming events promised by Niantic.
