It is confirmed, the Audi Q4 will be in production in 2019. The production will take place at Audi's facility located in Gyor, Hungary. The official release date of the car is yet to be confirmed.

The Audi Q4 is expected to join the company's growing family of stylized SUVs which was jumpstarted by the Q6 electric car and the luxurious Q8. Moreover, Audi promised that the Q4 will sport a coupe like design, despite the fact that it packs a high SUV body.

Once it hits the market, the five-seater SUV is expected to compete with some of the best in its class including the Mercedes-Benz GLA, BMW X2, and the Range Rover Evoque. The 2019 Audi Q4 will be built using Volkswagen's MQB platform, the same one that was used for the second-generation Q3.

According to Autocar, the 2019 Audi Q4 will measure 4500mm in length. That is 110mm longer than the current-generation Q3. The Q4 was originally revealed as the TT Offroad concept, and made its debut at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show. In terms of design, the Q4 is expected to pack a curved roofline and a liftback-style tailgate.

In the interior, the Q4 is expected to host a suite of new tech features. The car is expected to have an instrument display in Full HD resolution, navigation monitor, gesture control support, smartphone charging, and a host of the latest connectivity features.

Under the hood, the 2019 Audi Q4 is expected to pack the latest version of the 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine. The engine is expected to be available in boost diesel and petrol variants. An upgraded version of the current 2.0-liter and 2.5-liter engines are also expected to be available.
