Apple iPhone 8 Price Might Be Cheaper Than Anticipated; Might Come With Dual-SIM Feature

The Apple iPhone 8, no surprise, is the most anticipated phone of the year. As usual, speculations and rumors about the phone's specs have littered the Internet. However, there is one interesting piece of speculation that somehow stands on top of the rest. It is not about a new feature or a particular spec but about the iPhone 8 price.

In its bid to beat its rivals, the Apple iPhone 8 will be priced competitively. Financial services company UBS anticipates the entry-level iPhone 8 model to pick a price tag somewhere around the $870 price point. The flagship Samsung S8 and S8 Plus models are priced in this segment as well. The higher end iPhone, presumably the one with more storage space, will most likely hit the $1,000 mark, or maybe, even more, depending on the specs.

A new report from CNBC cited a UBS analyst claiming that the entry level model of the upcoming Apple iPhone 8 will be priced below $1,000 in order to aggressively compete with its closest rival, the Samsung Galaxy S8.

In terms of features, one, in particular, have been gaining attention lately. According to BGR, Apple might finally equip its flagship smartphone with this feature that almost every other smartphone models have.

A niche of iPhone users has been asking Apple to equip its flagship smartphone with dual-SIM capabilities. Something that Apple, in its bid to be different from the rest, has refused to do so.

Apple has relentlessly denied user requests of a dual-SIM feature for its flagship smartphone, especially from users that need to have two different phone numbers but do not want to carry multiple devices. This is an interesting debate for some, as purist Apple users would want to keep the iPhone dual-SIM-free.
