Faraday Future FF91 Test Mule Spotted In West Hollywood; Mistaken For Tesla Model 3: Awkward Much?

Faraday Future is still determined on delivering their electric vehicle. In fact, the FF91 mule, which was introduced at CES 2017 was seen road testing. However, two people with their camera's in their car asked the EV's driver if it was the much anticipated Tesla Model 3. Spell awkward much?

Faraday Future FF91 is spotted road testing its test mule sporting some heavy camouflage, just like any other newly built vehicle on the planet. Well, many automakers do this so that the public can feast their eyes on the vehicle and stir different reactions, or excitements.

However, it turned out different in the case of the FF91. Well, you can't blame the two other people filming it since the EV was following a Tesla Model X on the road in Los Angeles, just right by Trashy Lingerie.

They really did ask the driver of the Faraday Future FF92, "Is that the model 3?" Imagine the reaction of the FF91's driver, assuming it was the company's engineer. He answered, "Uh, no."

Seriously, who would have thought they would see Faraday Future's test mule on the road, following the company's financial issues? This certainly is a surprise. Plus, it's really hard to outshine the world the "Elon help build," especially if you are a mysterious company who suddenly came out of the blue and has far grander plans than your competition.

The test mule spotted was, in fact, part of the beta prototype fleet for the FF91. It also has almost the same shape as the electric vehicle showcased at the CES 2017. Also, its interior seems to be months ahead from the production-spec and doesn't sport the essentials.

In the meantime, it would be exciting to find out whether Faraday Future does pull through and deliver their first EV, the FF91. The company claims that its first ever model will have the most advanced autonomous driving system in the market, inclusive of 3D lidar, 12 ultrasonic sensors and 13 short radars, and 10 HD cameras. This is yet to be proven true, however.

Check out the video below of the Faraday Future FF91 rolling in West Hollywood. Watch until the end.
