2018 Volvo XC60: Slated To Be One Of The Stars Of The New York Auto Show

This time, the focus is in New York as all car enthusiasts and industry experts converge in the Big Apple to witness the best of the best vehicles the world over. The 2018 Volvo XC60 will make its appearance at the New York Auto Show and may even be one of the vehicles to watch out for.

The 2018 Volvo XC60 will have Volvo's new design developed by a team headed by Thomas Ingenlath, Senior Vice President of Design. It will also offer three different powertrains with one having turbo four-cylinder capable of producing 250-horsepower, another with T6 turbo and supercharged four-cylinder with a power of 316-horsepower, and an even more powerful T8 plug-in electric hybrid which is intense for producing 400-horsepower.

Sharing the spotlight is 2018 Volvo S90 which debuted last year for the 2017 model. The 2018 XC60 is based on Volvo's Scalable Product Architecture. It is also expected to go on sale later this year.

The upcoming XC60 is expected to be extra-special as it is part of Volvo's 90 years of bringing the best cars to the world. It is all set to have its North American debut on April 12, 2017, during the first press day of the 2017 New York Auto Show. The production is also set to commence few days after the NYIAS debut at Volvo's factory in Torslanda, Sweden.

All eyes are expected to be on the 2018 Volvo XC60 as it promises impressive performance and sleek look, something that's characteristic of a Volvo. The XC60 also represents approximately 30 percent of Volvo's total global sales so the upcoming vehicle is expected to carry on such legacy.

With the success of XC60 worldwide, Volvo is sure to have upgraded and developed the 2018 Volvo XC60 in time for the New York Auto Show to satisfy the desires of every discerning industry expert and car enthusiast. Volvo is definitely excited to let the world know what the latest XC60 can do and eventually enjoy the fruits of their labor as it gets translated to impressive sales record.
