Two teenage sisters in Oregon were able to lift a 3,000-pound tractor off their father, saving in his life, after an accident occurred at their home according to the New York Daily News.
Jeff Smith, 36, was aboard a tractor trying to take a tree stump off of his yard when the machine suddenly flipped. The machine pinned him to the ground according to the Albany Democrat-Herald newspaper.
The steering wheel reportedly pressed into his chest causing him to lose breath every time he screamed for help.
His two daughters, Hannah, 16, and Haylee, 14, who had just got home from school, were walking the family's dog when they heard their dad screaming.
"We heard, 'Save me. Help me, God,'" said 14-year-old Haylee Smith, an eighth-grader at Hamilton Creek School.
The two teens ran over to the tractor, which Smith said it felt "as though the life was being squeezed out of him," called 911, and quickly discussed what to do next.
The girls were able to lift the tractor up enough so he could get his torso free. A nearby neighbor used his own tractor to get Smith out alive.
Smith was then taken to a local hospital where he was treated for a broken wrist and other smaller injuries.
"If these two hadn't have been here to hear me," said Smith, as his voice started trailing off according to the Albany Democrat-Herald. "They saved my life."
Before the ambulance ride, Hannah Smith said she called her mother, who thought it was some sort of April Fool's Day joke at first according to the New York Daily News.
It was nothing short of a miracle the two girls were home and were able to lift up the track, especially since they were originally supposed to be at a friend's house after school.
The family still owns the tractor, which they've started calling "satan."
