New iPad 5 Leaked Photos Reach The Internet, Shows Thinner Display Size (PHOTOS/ VIDEO)

New photos were released today showing what could be the new iPad by a French blog Nowhereelse.

The pictures were reportedly sent to the blog from a source in China.

The photos show the iPad glass along with a finer bezel, the rim holding the glass in place. If the photos are any indication, the screen will be around the same overall size as the previous model while becoming smaller and lighter at the same time.

The new iPad will have a smaller overall footprint while maintaining the same 9.7-inch display size.

This is the second image to leak regarding the next iPad device. Back in January, a redesigned case that resembles the iPad mini leaked on many tech sites

The photos were not leaked by Apple nor have they been confirmed by the company to even be an early model of their next Apple device.

Apple hasn't started formal production for the new iPad 5 yet, but the report indicates that the company will start sometime this summer.

A formal showcase of the next iPad model will take place this spring according to BGR News.
