Bugatti’s cars are known for their design beauty and for their many race victories, but most of all, they are known for making the fastest production cars on the planet. The Chiron is the latest ultimate hypercar made by Bugatti and it is no exception.

As reported by Tech Malak, Bugatti Chiron pulls some incredible numbers. The car comes with an 8.0-liter W16 engine that is the same as the one in Veyron. However, with a lot of hardware modifications, the Chiron produces 1,500 horsepower. It has four massive turbochargers that help the car generate 1180 pound-feet of torque. The top speed is 261mph, but it can go higher than that once Bugatti develops tires that are able to withstand forces of 300mph.

The Chiron comes with five different driving modes. The most interesting ones are Handling and Top Speed. In Handling mode, the steering wheel gets tighter, the dampers stiffen up, aerodynamic features deploy and all the emphasis is put on driving dynamics. In Top Speed mode, the car ducks down and all the spoilers retract.

As reported by RoadShow, Chiron’s design is largely based on Bugatti’s Vision Gran Turismo Concept. It’s shaped similar to Veyron and it has the Bugatti’s trademark horseshoe grille. There are plenty of air ducts and vents that provide airflow to the numerous radiators and other components that tend to get really hot.

On the inside, the center console is thin and houses just four knobs. Each of the knobs has its own high-resolution display that by default control the climate system and the heated seats. However, with just a long-press any of the knobs can switch to an alternate mode. They can be configured to show anything from turbo pressure to oil temperature. All the other controls reside on the steering wheel.

With these numbers, Chiron doesn’t only raise the top speed bar, but it excels across the board. The $3 million car is a dream which many people wanting to experience.
