2017 Citroen E-Mehari: An All Electric Quirky Beach Buggy

The 2017 Citroen E-Mehari has a similar look to the iconic 1968 Mehari vehicle, but it is a compact off-road SUV that is an all-electric vehicle and is embedded with the Citroen spirit. Citroen is a well-known French automobile company in France. It was founded by the late Andrè Citroen a long time ago where the automotive company was known to be the first one to develop the Traction Avant.

A Fun and modern vintage are indeed the perfect descriptions of the 2017 Citroen E-Mehari. It has that bold, sassy, optimistic and has the signature look of a Citroen. The car comes with an expressive gaze headlights, doors made with an electronic platform and LED daytime running lights that surrounds the front and rear headlights. Wing extenders also provide the 2017 E-Mehari a raised body, lower bumper, and as to the wheels, it comes in either 18-inch or 19-inch alloy with silver rims.

Meanwhile, there are two shades of a movable roof in black and orange-red and four shades of exterior colors are offered for the E-Mehari. The car's seats are designed to accommodate four passengers, but the drivers can add more space by just folding the rear seats, and it will have a larger space if needed. The seats are made up of leather, and its steering wheel is also covered with a telescopic leather.

The car's instrument panel is installed with TFT information display and has two available trim colors, a naturally looking beige and an orange-red with patterns that are inspired from the watersports. The trims are designed to be completely waterproof due to its plastic-coated fabric.

The 2017 Citroen E-Mehari is equipped with an electric motor that produces about 67 horsepower. The engine is combined with a 30kWh lithium battery pack that can reach up to a maximum range of 124 miles. The front wheel drive is coupled with a 1-speed gearbox. With a 16 A charger, a full battery charge takes 8 hours while for charging installation at home takes 13 hours.

To ensure the safety of the driver and passengers, the 2017 Citroen E-Mehari is installed with airbags and some other security systems. A type of car like this is likely to be the cheapest. A basic model of the E-Mehari could probably cost $14,000 to $15,000.
