A feast for the eyes, the 2017 Maserati Quattroporte is a Ferrari-powered sedan that takes on some of the top luxury sedans that's on the market today. For this year, it gets some updates such as an updated bumpers and some optional safety tech like adaptive cruise control and forward-collision warning with mitigation.
The 2017 Maserati Quattroporte received a new look on the exterior thanks to the new front and back bumpers. It also has an active grill shutter for fuel economy savings, and an updated tech interface on the cabin through a brand new 8.4-inch touchscreen the supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
On the inside, the Quattroporte is a roomy, well-appointed and likable cabin. There are endless customization choices for interior materials and all kinds of push available features such as fold-out table and quad-zone automatic climate control.
On the other hand, the Quattroporte is a large luxury sedan. It's available with three trim levels such as the S, SQ4, and GTS. The S trim is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine that produces 404 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque which is mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Other features include 19-inch wheels, automatic wipers, LED running lights and taillights, adaptive automatic xenon lights, a sunroof, front and rear parking sensors, power folding auto dimming mirrors, blind spot monitoring, remote start, keyless entry and ignition, and an adaptive suspension.
Other engines available include a 3.0-liter twin turbo V6 that makes 350 hp in the base Quattroporte. There is also a 3.0-liter twin-turbo diesel V6 available that produces 275 hp, but that version isn't available yet in the United States.
Another engine available is a twin-turbo V8 engine that has a top of the line Quattroporte GTS trim. The 3.8-liter V8 present in that vehicle can produce 530 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque.
The 2017 Maserati Quattroporte has a starting price from $100,000. Its competitors are Porsche Panamera S, BMW RS7, Audi RS7, and Mercedes-Benz S550.
