‘Games of Thrones’ Season 7: Long Walk Trailer Leaves Fans Perplexed Over Daenerys Targaryen’s Mystery Throne

HBO has just dropped a new trailer for the seventh season of its hit series "Game of Thrones." The 90-second clip features three characters including Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, and Cersei Lannister. It does not air any actual scenes from the next season but what makes it intriguing is the queen of dragon walking towards a throne.

Jon Snow and Cersei Lannister are also taking a long walk to their respective thrones. The King of the North is wearing a fur coat as he strolls through the halls of Winterfell while the Queen of the Iron Throne looks scheming and devilish as she glides onto her King's Landing palace's halls. The snippet leaves a conundrum to GoT fans: Which throne is Daenerys sitting on in the season 7 trailer?

Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, and Cersei Lannister represent the three centers of power remaining after season 6, which saw the demise of the great names of Westeros including Tywin Lannister, Ramsay Bolton, Joffrey Lannister, and the three Baratheon brothers.

Daenerys' throne appears to be made of several jagged pieces of rock. The mysterious throne raised several speculations from the fans familiar with George RR Martin's books. They believe that the throne is located in the throne room of Dragonstone which was the original seat of the House of Targaryen in Westeros. When Robert Baratheon defeated the Targaryens in the Robert's Rebellion, the castle was bequeathed to his brother Stannis.

Other fans have an opposing theory about Daenerys' throne. They pointed out that the throne could be the one from the Iron Islands. This seems probable since Daenerys made an alliance with the Greyjoy children in season 6 of "Game of Thrones."

The trailer ends with a zoomed-out shot from a White Walker's eye. This sequence provides an easy hint to the seventh season of GoT - war is looming ahead and will involve the thrones of
Jon, Cersei, and Daenerys against the army of the Night King's.
