Recently, the 2018 Kia Ceed was spotted in Northern Europe taking a test drive. The new Kia car seemed to have a design based from one of the models of its sister company, the Hyundai i30.

The car seemed to be running on a gasoline based engine from the way the acceleration sounds and its parking sound. Even though, the car engine rev sound it makes might also come from the cold weather or lack of sound proofing, reported Auto Evolution.

The company is currently in its final testing of roadworthiness of the new car. The car's body also seemed to be designed for production.

The 2018 Kia Ceed also seemed to have a lot of similarities with Hyundai. There are leaked photos that showed that the car has similar infotainment system as Hyundai i30.

The similarities do not seem to end there, the car seemed to have a similar engine as its sister company. The new Kia car seems to have a 1.4-liter engine that produces 120 horsepower and 124Nm of torque like the Hyundai car.

The car also runs on a 1.6-liter diesel engine that can be tuned to different levels of horsepower such as 95, 110 and 133. It comes with a six-speed manual gearbox and an optional seven-speed dual clutch transmission, reported Motor1

As for its interior, the car has a better cabin than its predecessors. One of the differences of the new car to Hyundai is the dashboard, it has a different layout than its Hyundai counterpart.

The car also comes with a small button layout but with a lower-spec infotainment system. When it comes to the taillights, the 2018 Kia Ceed has wider taillights than most of its predecessors.

Since its release, it has become the best-selling model in Europe. It had an annual delivery of more than 400,000 unit in 2016.

Currently, the car is in the final process of creation in Zilina, Slovakia. The 2018 Kia Ceed will reportedly be introduced at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
