Honda has unveiled the all-new 2017 Honda Clarity Fuel Cell. The company has seen the potential of hydrogen as one of the solutions to the environmental issues since the 1980s and has developed it over the years.

Honda is the first ever automaker in the world who received approval from the U.S. government to sell vehicles run by fuel cells. What's more compelling of the 2017 car model is that it offers much of its practicality compared to the previous models of fuel cell vehicles.

This 2017 Honda Clarity Fuel Cell is the first Clarity series in Honda's all-new electrified vehicles. It is built on the common platform that also includes the Clarity Electric or BEV along with the Clarity Plug-in Hybrid or PHEV.

The model offers a spacious cabin that can allocate five passengers. The great space also comes with a decent legroom and generous headroom. As to the front seats, it has long cushions as well as an excellent support.

The automaker also makes sure that everything under the hood is placed and stored securely. The hydrogen is stored in a two aluminum composite-reinforced cylindrical tanks. The one that carries 31 gallons of hydrogen is set behind the rear seatbacks while the smaller one that takes 6 gallons sits under the rear seats.

As to the EPA rates of the 2017 Honda Clarity Fuel Cell, it is rated at 68 MPG with 366 miles driving range. The company has also provided the model with a 24/7 roadside assistance and a 21 days Luxury Rental service.

Meanwhile, for Honda to achieve a mass-market appeal, the company set a goal on their product development pathway towards a future full mass production than by just focusing on a narrow group of car users. Honda is committed to continuing the development of their hydrogen technologies for a fully-fledged hydrogen society.
