2017 Seoul Motor Show is getting bigger with 27 carmaker participants. The upcoming show is also getting more prestigious as it will now host the world premieres of Hyundai Grandeur IG HEV and SsangYong Y400.
HYUNDAI GRANDEUR IG HEV. The upcoming flagship from Hyundai Motors is set to have its world debut at the 2017 Seoul Motor Show when the door opens on March 31. This new model is the hybrid version of its famous Grandeur sedan.
The new Hyundai Grandeur IG HEV is integrated with fuel economy of 16.2 kilometers per meter. It is set to expand the autmaker's green car market.
Furthermore, Hyundai is also taking the center stage of the 2017 Seoul Motor Show to introduce its newest Future Eco fuel-cell electric vehicle concept as well as its powerful Vision Gran Turismo race car. Hyundai will also display the special edition Genesis G90 models in the upcoming motor show.
SSANGYONG Y400. The upcoming SUV flagship from SsangYong is currently codenamed as Y400. The automaker is yet to unveil the final model name of the new SUV in the launch.
The SsangYong Y400 is a great milestone in the history of Korea as it marks the first quad-frame SUV to be produced in the country which boasts of its improved safety and performance. The project is a result of the partnership of SsangYong with South Korea's biggest steel manufacturer Posco which developed the high-strength steel SUV.
OTHER MODELS. Honda is also set to launch its Clarity Fuel Cell in the upcoming 2017 Seoul Motor Show. Whereas, Kia Motors is all set to introduce its upcoming Stinger sports sedan. Furthermore, Lexus is also getting ready to launch its LF-FC hydrogen fuel cell concept car which is going to be its first launch in Korea.
The upcoming show is highlighting the green cars for this year's theme. It runs with the slogan "Design the Future, Enjoy the Moment." It will host 13 new launches from Korea and 17 premieres from automakers across Asia, Korea Herald reported.
The 2017 Seoul Motor Show will open doors on March 31 and will end on April 9. It will be held at the KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. Watch out for more updates in our next report.
