Microsoft has unveiled an all-new accessory for the Xbox One. The Redmond-based tech giant now offers new controllers for its flagship gaming console part of its new line of gadgets and accessories.

Microsoft unveils all-new Tech Series controllers. The controller is the first product of the company's new Tech Series lineup. The gaming accessory is called the Recon Tech Special Edition Xbox One controller.

The Recon Tech Special Edition controller has a custom finish as well as new features such as Bluetooth connectivity and an improved wireless range. The design of the controller features gold accents, the series' insignia on the front, a laser-etched texture, and a textured diamond rubberised grip on its back.

The design takes inspiration from military performance patterns as well as technology. The concepts of its design are based off "sci-fi mechanical gear" and combat armor.

According to a post on Xbox Wire, the new gaming accessory is one of three announcements set for the company's flagship gaming console this year. It is aimed at "giving fans choices when it comes to games, services, and devices." The other two concerns the company's next-generation gaming console Project Scorpio and the new Game Pass program. The former is said to be set to launch in next year's holiday season.

Just like a regular controller, the Recon Tech Special Edition controller can also be used for playing games on Windows 10. In addition to the current Windows OS, it is also compatible with the Samsung Gear VR.

For a more personalized gaming experience with the new Xbox One controller, a player can map its buttons using the Xbox Accessories App. Another feature, which looks to be the coolest one it has, is the Copilot mode which allows for buttons to be mapped to different controllers. This gives two players the ability to take control of a game at the same time.
