Suzuki GSX-R1000 vs. Yamaha YZF-R1: Which is the Best Motorcycle in the Performance Batle.

A performance battle took place to test the mettle of the Honda CBR, Suzuki GSX-R1000, and the Yamaha YZF-R1. The three bikes are reputed to be the fastest on the tracks. The test was done at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

During the previous test done at the California Speedway, it was the Suzuki which goes the best quarter mile lap time at 9.95 second, the Honda and Yamaha both have identical 10.32 seconds. The result on the test showed the Gixxer getting 1:25.31 on the lap. The R1 following second at 1:26.38 and Honda coming in last at 1:26.76.

According to Car and Bike the Suzuki GSX-R1000 was launched during the Intermot Motorcycle Show as a concept bike in 2015. After almost a year of planning and testing, a production model was finally done. Power comes from a 199 BHP, 1000cc, inline 4 cylinder engine. Suzuki included a lot of high technology on the current bike to make better. Suspensions were upgraded and shock in the rear was updated for better riding handling. The GSX-R series was first launched in the 80's. From the get go, it has gained a reputation of a championship bike. Formerly crowned "King of Superbikes" the company is moving heaven and hell to reclaim the title.

On the other hand, the Japanese motor brand Yamaha Motors released the Yamaha YZF-R1 in their home country. It received cosmetic changes based on the old models they have. On Cars reports that power wise, it is has a 998 cc 4 cylinder engine that powers the 6-speed transmission it has. It is capable of generating 197 BHP. The 2017 model offers the best technology in the market like ABS, Launch control, and traction control among others. A full digital instrument console was installed to help riders get a better performance from the bike. It will be available for sale towards the end of the year.
