To build more anticipation for the arrival of the new 2014 Camaro at next week's New York Auto Show, Chevrolet decided to release a teaser image of the car a week ahead of time.
The new model is the first complete refresh since the car was introduced back in 2009.

The first glimpse of the redesigned 2014 Chevrolet Camaro was shown by GM to get people excited, but failed to offer any information about the car.
Chevy does promise though that the new model will represent the "most significant" change for the fifth-generation Camaro, which has been the most popular sports car for under $50,000 in America the last three years according to a company press release.

GM hopes the new cars will build off their predecessor's success, as the company accounted for one out of every three performance cars sold in the U.S. in 2012.
"Chevrolet customers have validated our performance credentials with their enthusiasm," said General Motors North America President Mark Reuss in a press release. "We're going to give them even more reasons to be enthused about Chevrolet performance, design and technology."
More details on the new Camaro, including photos and exact specifications for the car will be released on Mar. 27 at 12:45 p.m. at the Javits Center.
