A handful of photos believed to be that of the rumored 2019 Ram 1500 Quad Cab has recently surfaced on several motoring websites. This is not the first time spy shots of the pickup truck have been spotted, as several other photos have surfaced earlier this year as well.

The upcoming iteration of the Ram 1500 pickup truck was spotted doing test drives around the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles headquarters located in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Keen-eyed fans have pointed out the 6-lug wheels of the truck, something that led many to believe that the photographed version of the pickup truck appears to be a Quad Cab model.

Discussions about why the 2019 Ram 1500 pickup truck will sport a 6-lug wheel have sparked interests on several forums. Some fans believe that the upcoming Ram pickup will gain weight compared to the current-generation model. Some said that the next-generation pickup truck will receive a hefty upgrade in terms of towing and payload capacity, while others believe that the pickup will be sporting a 6-lug wheel for uniformity in terms of wheel bolt pattern with other models.

According to FCA Authority, the 2019 Ram 1500 will receive a handful of technology upgrades like an infotainment system. There are also rumors claiming that the pickup truck will sport active safety features like adaptive cruise control, lane assist, as well as collision detection and avoidance systems.

In terms of engine, the 2019 Ram 1500 is expected to have the 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar engine and the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel engine, according to Truck Trend. There are also speculations that a 5.7-liter Hemi variant is in the works, although this particular spec should be taken with a grain of salt until FCA confirms it. The next-generation Ram 1500 is expected to debut at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show.
