Michael Schumacher's son Mick Schumacher is reportedly getting his own driving license as he is turning 18 tomorrow, Wednesday. It appears that the young son of F1 race champ is also taking the same path of his father. In another report, fans were reportedly disappointed with the removal of #KeepFighting by the Mercedes GP on their new car.
Michael Schumacher supporters were appalled when Mercedes GP removed the #KeepFighting from their F1 challenger, the W08. Prior to the start of the F1 season in Australia, news came out about the removal of the message on the new car of Mercedes GP.
Fans can recall that the brand has started carrying the message after the horrific accident that the F1 champion has encountered on Dec. 29, 2013. The old team have been carrying the #KeepFighting since the fatal accident until now that the brand has announced its decision to drop the message from its new F1 car.
Now, before the new F1 season begins, Mercedes GP has reportedly removed the #KeepFighting. Apparently, the decision to drop the slogan resulted from the new "Keep Fighting" initiative which the Schumacher family has started.
According to Mercedes GP's spokesman, the #KeepFighting was removed to give freedom for future utilization of the message. It seems that Mercedes GP does not want to limit the usage of the hashtag to give way for more people or groups to use the slogan.
According to the report, Mercedes GP will still be working closely with the family of Michael Schumacher to continue promoting this fighting spirit. They will be coming up with activities which they promised to announce in the proper time, DailyStar reported.
Meanwhile, Michael Schumacher's son, Mick is turning 18 on March 22. This means that Mick Schumacher can finally be a legit holder of a driving license.
Although Mick Schumacher is already a member of the Formula Four, his driving career has not gone into its full capacity with the absence of a driving license. Now that he is qualified to own a driving license, he can now get more appointments and racing opportunities.
The young Schumacher told German Daily Bild that he is excited for that day that he can finally get his own driving license. Interestingly, Mercedes-Benz has already booked Mick Schumacher for a junior ambassador's role, Zee News has noted.
Michael Schumacher's son has made a name for himself in the Formula Four Drivers championship as a kart racer. He will soon be promoted to Formula Three via the Italian outfit Prema Powerteam where he is set to race at Silverstone, England on the weekend of April 14-16.
Mick Schumacher seems to be following the footsteps of his father. It is interesting to note that the young Schumacher was not hindered with the fatal accident of Michael Schumacher.
