The 2017 Ford Fiesta is a very pleasant everyday companion. It may not be the roomiest car in its class, but as subcompacts go, it's one of the favorite models.
The Fiesta comes in sedan and four-door hatchback versions, which offers quick handling and performance. The ST model is more entertaining thanks to its sport-tuned suspension and 197 hp four-cylinder engine. Ford also offers a 1.0-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine that produces high-performance and outstanding fuel economy. Both the 1.0-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder and ST model are offered with manual transmissions.
The 2017 Ford Fiesta is powered by a 1.6-liter four cylinder that produces 120 hp and 112 lb-ft of torque. A five-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive come standard, and a six-speed PowerShift automatic transmission is also offered.
The optional EcoBoost 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder makes 123 hp and 125 lb-ft of torque. It's matched with a five-speed manual transmission only.
The ST's turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder is estimated at 197 hp and 202 lb-ft of torque. Only a six-speed manual transmission is offered.
The interior of the new model is notable for its high-quality materials and stylish good looks. Available amenities will include a heated leather seat, the premium Sony audio system, and multicolor ambient lighting adds a distinctly upscale vibe.
Additionally, there's plenty of room up front, and the height-adjustable driver seat and tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel make it a very comfortable driving position. It also comes with the Sync 3 system and a 6.5-inch touchscreen. The vehicle's trunk offers 12.8 cubic feet worth of space.
Other standard features will include 15-inch steel wheels, power mirrors, a rear spoiler, variable intermittent wipers, remote keyless entry, air-conditioning, cloth upholstery, and a height-adjustable driver seat. It also comes with 60/40-split folding rear seats, power locks and manual windows, Bluetooth, a 3.5-inch center display, Sync voice controls, a six-speaker sound system with a CD player, a USB port and an auxiliary audio input jack.
The 2017 Ford Fiesta has a starting price of £12,715. It will go on sale this spring 2017.
