One of the largest Korea-based automobile company presents the 2017 SsangYong XAVL Concept at the Geneva Motor Show held in Switzerland this year. The model is the company's vision of a future car.
The company is the oldest and the only brand in Korea that specializes SUVs and 4x4 vehicles. They also stand for their duty and responsibility in leading to a new development in this product sector.
This new concept is the successor of the company's previous XAV concept that was introduced back in 2015 during the Frankfurt motor show. Notably, the concept draws the brand's heritage and proudly shows off its design that was from the 1990's iconic Korando model.
As the company presented the model, CEO Mr. Choi stated, "I am delighted to unveil this concept which signposts the future generation of SsangYong cars. This longer bodied car will accommodate seven passengers in comfort, and will be powered by both petrol and new clean-burning diesel engines." 2017 SsangYong XAVL Concept is a tough and authentic SUV model.
XAVL is a car concept that offers a great combination of practicality and advanced convenience with a friendly user interface. It also comes with an off-road capability along with the versatility of a multi-purpose MPV.
For the interior of the car, it has a sensitive ambiance, enhanced contemporary space with subtle illumination. The smart user interface that it comes with also enables the passengers to have free communications from the car and home.
The 2017 SsangYong XAVL Concept offers choices for the buyers and drivers as to the engine. One can go for a 1.5 liter Euro 6d-Temp compliant petrol engine that can provide 150 to 170 g/km of CO2 emissions (2WD, MT/AT, with stop/start). The second option is the 1.6 liter Euro 6d-Temp compliant diesel engine that can achieve 120 to 150 g/km of CO2 emissions (2WD, MT/AT, with stop/start).
For the transmission, the concept also offers two choices. Buyers can match their desired engine to a manual or automatic transmission in 6-speed. Both of the choices comes with a 2WD system.
