American car manufacturer Corvette has plans to introduce a mid-engine vehicle to its current line-up of cars. Speculations are saying that it could probably look like or even be the Aria-designed concept car, Fast Eddy.

Corvette to add mid-engine vehicle based on the Aria concept car Fast Eddy. If the car manufacturer's plan to add a mid-engine vehicle to its line-up would be the Fast Eddy, it doesn't come as surprise at all. Fast Eddy does sport a few 'Vette-like features in its design.

Aria wanted to pay homage to the late designer Ed Taylor of GM in developing Fast Eddy. The company basically wanted to come up with a car that Taylor would have enjoyed to drive. Aria also mentioned that it intended to showcase its knowledge in manufacturing and engineering vehicles such as Fast Eddy as well as its skills in designing.The result is a mid-engine 'Vette inspired vehicle.

Clive Hawkins, one of Aria's co-founders, said that in coming up with Fast Eddy, they didn't want to raise General Motors' ire and so designed it to be "unique" even if it is inspired by a Corvette. One can see the Corvette-like features in the concept car's rear most especially. Fast Eddy's rear sports taillight graphics which are just amazing to look at especially when lit.

Since it's just a concept car, it doesn't really have a real engine underneath its hood. However, Aria claims it to be powered by a powerful 650-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine with 650 pound-feet of torque. Aria has stated that the vehicle weighs an impressive 2,900 pounds and get from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 3 seconds. The vehicle features custom black wheels courtesy of HRE which come with a five double-spoke design. The wheels come in four size variants with the largest at 24 inches and the smallest at 20 inches.
