According to The Advocate, Acura dropped the rather tricky marketing ploy of introducing different trim levels to a single model. That means that the 2017 Acura MDX will not have S, L, XL, Limited, or Premium trim levels. Everything is carefully picked and packaged already.
Under the hood, the standard2017 Acura MDX packs a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 290-horsepower and 268lb-ft of torque, according to Valley News. This power is delivered at the front wheels through a 9-speed automatic transmission. There is also an option for an all-wheel drive configuration, although it adds a little bit to the cost. The luxury SUV has an EPA rating of 20mpg for the city, 27mpg for highway, and combined rating of 23mpg.
The base 2017 Acura MDX model costs $45,025. Adding the Advanced Package which includes specialty wheels will shoot its price up to $53,435. The top-end model, with all options checked including all-wheel drive, costs $61,875.
