Samsung Galaxy S8 and iPhone 8 are already going through some serious face-off even before its official release. Words have gone out and leaks were released to somehow make experts come up with their judgment on which device is better when it officially is available for the public.
According to Know Your Mobile, iPhone 8 is rumored to come with 4.7, 5.5 and 5.8-inch with 1920 x 1310 curved OLED display. It may also come with 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB memory giving its buyers an insane storage for important items such as videos, documents, and photos.
It will also be fast and won't lag because it is powered by an A11 processor with 3-4GB of RAM. Its camera is also beefed up and more improved for having 8-megapixel front-facing and 12-megapixels dual lens camera, dual-OIS, and is capable of 4K recording.
On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S8 is believed to come with a 5.1 and 5.5-inch display and is better compared to iPhone 8 for its 2160 x 3840 curved 4K Super AMOLED display. It will have an internal storage of 64GB and can be expanded to 256GB. Its rear-facing camera is 16-megapixels capable of 4K video recording and optical image stabilization and 12-megapixels for font-facing camera. Like the iPhone 8, the Galaxy S8 is also rumored to have iris scanner (which the Note 7 also has).
iPhone 8 is also reported to be capable of wireless charging. This is something that the Galaxy S8 may not be supporting, however, nothing is conclusive yet. Samsung is also poised to beat Apple in terms of its display technology.
As added by Value Walk, both Samsung and Apple will definitely bank on better battery performance for its soon-to-be-released smartphones. The iPhone 8 is reported to have a larger battery with 2700mAh giving it long-lasting power. However, not to be outdone, the Galaxy S8 may come with 3000mAh as reports say. Samsung Galaxy S8+ may even be more powerful for having 3500mAh.
The verdict? The battle has begun and will be far from over. Both phones promise to be the best versions of its predecessors, all equipped with the latest and most advanced technologies. Based on reports and rumored specs of each, it seems that Samsung Galaxy S8 wins against iPhone 8. However, these are based on available facts and are non-conclusive. The credible verdict will have to come after both phones are officially released and actual units are tested real-time.
