Formula E is the world's first fully-electric single-seater racing series. The Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) announced the Smart Cities Initiative, which is a new program designed to secure safety, sustainable and accessible e-mobility solutions.
According to Sports Business Daily, the Formula E season will begin on July 2, and it will feature an extra double header in Berlin after the race in Brussels was officially canceled due to a clashing event. The Berlin round will continue to two days, which are July 10 to 11.
The Formula E season will still highlight 12 races and different routes. The race has been swapping straight of the Brussels, and the other alternative locations are added, which includes Astana, Kazakhstan, New York, and Montreal, as noted by Auto Sport.
FIA confirmed that the Formula E season 3 would expand to 12 rounds around nine venues. The new rounds will be held in Marrakesh and Hong Kong, then direct to New York City for double-header rounds. Montreal is added on the track list, but Punta del Este Moscow are drop.
Starting April 1, the track will be Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in round four, which is called Mexico City ePrix. Then, it will directly run through Monaco ePrix at Circuit de Monaco on May 13. After, it will be the Paris ePrix at Circuit des Invalides on May 20.
The Formula E season 3 will achieve the double-header rounds in Berlin ePrix at Tempelhof Airport Street Circuit, which Race One will be on June 10, and on the next day Race, Two will take place. Then, America will rock the New York ePrix Race One and Race Two at the Brooklyn Street Circuit on July 15 to 16. Lastly, Montreal ePrix double-header rounds will be at Montreal Street Circuit from July 29 to July 30.
The rules for Formula E season 3 changes, which the fastest lap is going to be rewarded one point, which compares to the first two seasons that it was worth two points. The previously permitted rate of regeneration was 100 kW, and currently, it has been increased to 150 kW.
