Amazon Now Has More Than 150 Nintendo NES Classic Edition Available But Sold At A Premium Price

Finally! The Nintendo NES Classic Edition is now available on Amazon with more than 150 units in stock but could be easily sold out even though Amazon is selling it at a price higher than $160 plus shipping. The $60 console is very hard to find these days, and it seems like its much younger cousin, the Nintendo Switch, might suffer the same as high demands of these consoles continues.

Ever since the Nintendo NES Classic Edition was launched last November, Nintendo has been having supply problems. Everytime physical and online stores have the stocks, it is a small amount that sold out in just seconds.

The new update from Amazon page lists the 150 units available in stock to only one in less than 24 hours. But there are more than 150 Amazon retailers that are selling the mini-console for more than $160.

Meanwhile, online store eBay also has ten available stocks priced a bit lower at $144, but it's still higher than its original launch price. The mini-console will come in different modded version with additional games included.

The console has over 30 built-in games such as Super Mario Bros, Donkey Kong, Legend of Zelda, PAC-MAN, Mega Man, Final Fantasy, Dr. Mario, and dozens more. For players who wish to have more game choices, the console can be hacked using the hakchi2 tool.

The console can have more than 800 games by using the hakchi2 tool. But the risk is high, and with a void warranty, there will be no way to ask for a replacement for a new console.

Furthermore, the hard-to-acquire console will still include a standard HDMI cable, the one old-school gray-colored NES Classic Controller and AC adapter. It's also compatible with the Classic Controller and Classic Controller Pro and additional NES Classic controllers will be sold separately.

A supply chain problem is the reason why Nintendo is having supply problems for the Nintendo NES Classic Edition. Tatsumi Kimishima, Nintendo President, announced that some part is very difficult to find, but Nintendo is committed to meeting consumers demands by boosting its production. Nintendo also revealed that it's already meeting its schedule in shipping 2 million units of Nintendo Switch consoles by March.
