"Tom Clancy's The Division's" one-year celebration is being planned by Massive. Meanwhile, the game's plans for the second year are revealed. Julian Gerighty, the creative director of the game, shared what the fans can expect in the coming year.
Gerighty revealed that the game proposes two free expansions coming during Year 2. He did not give more information on the details of the game. However, with these expansions, the players will be able to experience new challenges and opportunities within The Division.
The Division fans are going to be kept very busy next year. Massive is planning new content and updates throughout the year to keep the players engaged. Massive is also planning to integrate new events, content, features, and events. This will give the players the chance to enjoy "The Division" both solo and with friends, reported Game Rant.
"One of the biggest pieces of new content is an events structure, which will reward players for participation, completion, and completion within a playlist of activities that have a modifier," Julian Gerighty stated. "Basically, taking a set number of activities within the game and adding a spin to them that makes players see them in a whole different light and play them in a whole different way."
Gerighty did not reveal if the expansion will see a continuation of the storyline with "The Division." He just stated that story of the game had captured a lot of people's imaginations and so it is definitely something that the players have eyes on, reported Herald.
"The Division" fans can experience more Elite Task Force (ETFs) and Public Test Server (PTS) in the coming year. "I think they are incredibly useful. Both the ETF and PTS are something that we believe really improve the quality of the experience for the community at large. It's something that I definitely want to continue. The transparency that the PTS and ETF provide is something that I really believe in very firmly now," Gerighty stated.
Massive also addressed one of most common request that the players made. The players of "The Division" wanted the ability to create specified loadout for their characters. As of now, players are forced to spend time switching out each piece of gear, each gear mod, weapon, and weapon mod in order to change up their play style for a particular activity. This takes up a lot of time. Also, it reduces the interest level.
Massive addressed this as it may be releasing loadout for "The Division" players soon. This will ensure that the players will not have to spend more time switching between builds.
The expansion of "The Division" is reported to be mindful of the expectations of the fans. Massive also hinted that it might be generous in the expansion into Year 2. This is good news for all the fans.
