This week at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, the RUF tribute to the iconic Yellowbird dubbed as the RUF CTR is unveiled. A new Yellowbird as RUF folks said, the CTR Stund Geneva's spectators with its newly, company based chassis and design. The CTR is the modern taste of the RUF model released back in 1987, and a perfect example of an analog goodness.

The RUF CTR is the first-ever rear-wheel-drive bespoke carbon fiber monocoque chassis with a power-to-weight ratio of 3.5 lbs per horsepower. The engine's power comes from a twin-turbo 3.5-liter flat six capable of producing an impressive 700 HP and 649 lb-ft or torque. Unfortunately, any form of electrification and digital display is not yet discussed. What was given to all Geneva's spectator are gauges which are analog dials of the CTR. AWN will look forward to the full announcement of RUF CTR.

Sources stated that the lucky 30 owners of the RUF CTR will have a complete of the CTR through a specifically developed six-speed manual transmission alongside the purist driver's experience. Also, the CTR exterior has the pre-996 911 classic body shell. A true example of a minimalist design both inside and outside.

The RUF CTR is a pure reminder that there are still markets for small, but purist high-performance, computer-controlled electronic aids. Without a doubt, the RUF CTR is the best Analog Supercar ever. But, the question is if the company continues to pursue this direction.

According to Car Buzz, "the CTR represents what RUF does best, and we couldn't be happier with the result. However, we doubt that in 30 years' time there'll be a CTR tribute in the way it captures the spirit of the Yellowbird."
