Although the 90s version of sports cars may be a risky move to develop and earn top-notch ratings in the industry to date, the Toyota Sports Car lineup is being developed by the automaker. In fact, the family of three interesting sports car will be coming sooner than expected with the updated Toyota Supra, Celica, and MR2 models. What are their features?

First of all, the Japanese automaker has coincided with BMW to produce the updated Toyota Supra sports car. It will have a mid-engine feature which would most likely be a successor to the Toyota MR2 model. As reported by Jalopnik, Toyota Gazoo Racing chief, Tetsuya Tada, revealed that the three updated Toyota Sports Car lineup will be in production together soon. In fact, it was confirmed that the new Toyota MR2 may be a hybrid version with the LMP1 racecar tag and that it would retain its traditional mid-engine design. Besides, the Toyota mid-engine platform was initially incorporated into the Toyota GT86 model which received positive reviews. Will this retain the series' impressive reputation in the market?

In other news, EVO reported that the franchise had been up and running in the automobile industry for over 20 years. The updated cars, however, will have better lightweight options wherein the automaker's design to create the trio with performance specials similar to that of the Toyota Yaris GRMN hatchback would offer unrecognizable characteristics. These specs were forecasted to go against Mazda MX-5 in the segment.

Furthermore, the subtle nods of the vehicle would be similar to that of the Toyota Sports 800 platform identical to the current MX-5 with a four-seater, front-engine rear-drive feature. The track-ready vehicles would take the form of the S-FR Racing Concept, a brightly-colored road-going specification, which is set to retain the glory days of the franchise.

The Toyota Sports Car lineup would be announced by the automaker sooner than late 2017 or early 2018. Will the features enable it to retain the glory days of the 90's reputation of notable racing automobiles?
