Revealed: The Best Cars At The 2017 Geneva Motor Show So Far

The 2017 Geneva Motor Show is one of the most significant events in the automotive industry. The planet's largest car manufacturers descent on one Swiss city, excited to show off their newest car developments to the public. So here's the list of the best cars from day one.

The Best Car. The Range Rover Velar, Jaguar Land Rover's new luxury family chariot. Offering one of the most advanced interiors ever seen in an SUV, the Rang Rover Velar takes it to a new level.

The majority of the buttons have been replaced by touch-sensitive, hidden lit panels that give the inside a unique uncluttered feeling. The new SUV is parked in between the Sport and Evoque in the automaker's lineup, occupying a £30,000 gap between these two popular models.

The Best Supercar. Another firm causing chaos in Geneva is McLaren. The automaker launched their new 720S, a supercar with a top speed of 212mph can accelerate from 0-60 in just 2.8 seconds, and has a starting price of £208,600. The 720S can make 720bhp, making it just ten more horses compared to the Bentley Continental GT Supersports which was also revealed in the event.

The Ferrari 812 Superfast has impressed everybody at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. The 789bhp supercar will hit from 0-62mph in just under three seconds and can continue to 211mph on the right road.

Meanwhile, Aston Martin also revealed the name of its newest supercar, the Valkyrie. It's also known as the AM-RB 001, the car described by the automaker as a revolutionary car. The car was developed in conjunction with Red Bull Advanced Technologies.

Best New Tech Innovation. Volkswagen has revealed what it suggests as the future of personal transportation. It's named as the Sedric, a small driverless pod, similar to those found at Heathrow Airport, but this one has greater levels of autonomy. Sedric will be waft through the urban landscape powered by electric motors.

The 2017 Geneva Motor Show is traditionally about speed, style, driving brio, petrol power and multi-cylinder soundtracks. It's like a fashion show, the world's best catwalk for cars.
