Nintendo Switch is the latest technology advancement and a highly saleable device that functions both as a console and a handheld gaming system. Before you decide to grab your own unit, here are the things you need to know about this powerful device, as it claimed to be.
The Nintendo Switch is a milestone in the gaming system which has the capacity to transform into a TV game console or a touchscreen tablet. It is one of the hottest gadgets in the market today because of its claimed versatility, convenience, and mobility that stocks are fast depleting, just like its sibling, the Nintendo NES classic edition.
The Nintendo Switch dual functions seem very impressive but unfortunately, there are quite a number of issues owners are now facing. Apparently, the unit is not fulfilling its promises.
First, the touchscreen is not functioning as of this time. There is also no apps available and no drive or slot to access games from external sources like Wii or 3DS's online shops.
However, exclusive games are coming to the Nintendo Switch on a separate schedule. Nintendo has confirmed the line-up of exclusive games coming to the Switch console this 2017. Games include "Switch Roster," "1-2 Switch," "Arms," "Fast RMX," "Fire Emblem" for Nintendo Switch, "Fire Emblem Warriors," "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe," "Project: Octopath Traveler," "Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition," "Shin Megami Tensei: Brand New Title," "Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment," "Snipperclips: Cut It Out Together," "Splatoon 2," "Super Bomberman R," "Super Mario Odyssey," "Ultra Street Fighters II: The Final Challengers," and the "Xenoblade Chronicles 2." You may check out this GameSpot link for more details of the games.
With regard to the other issues encountered by those who were already able to purchase the unit, here are some of the first-day high (or should we say "low?") issues: Joy-Con Desyncs, Low Wi-Fi signal connection, blue screen of death and orange screen of hard-reset, dead pixels in the screen, Meh kickstand, not scratch-proof screen, and the outer coating are removed by stickers.
In terms of the Joy-Con Desyncs issue, Nintendo recommends that users will keep the Switch away from thumb drives, microwaves, aquariums and any other wireless devices. Whereas to protect the screen as it is highly susceptible to scratches, it is advisable that users will put a screen protector on their device, CNet has noted.
