French automaker Renault took the stage at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show to unveil how the company perceives the future of cars. Dubbed simply as the Renault Trezor, the car looks like a hypercar designed by a science fiction writer.

The Trezor is definitely a head-turner. It features a long sleek body and low ground clearance. Some might be attracted to scissor doors, but Renault is taking a step further by designing the Trezor in such a way that almost half of the car has to be lifted in order to open it. There are no actual doors to open, instead, the driver and the passenger have to lift the top of the car and hop in.

On the inside, the Trezor looks gorgeous. It features a wraparound multi-panel dashboard which exudes the sci-fi aura of the car. According to PC World, the interior is in blazing red. Just to add a tinge of current-generation technology, the car does support mobile apps.

However, there is one feature that Renault might have overdone, and that is the front windshield which stretches halfway on each side of the car. The design is still futuristic in tone, but Renault tinted it with bright red color in order to match the interior. When viewed from a distance, the front of the car looks like a Cyclops suffering from bad case of conjunctivitis.

Renault's innovation does not end with the design, though. The Trezor is a fully electric coupe which can accelerate from zero to 100kmh in less than 4 seconds, according to The Verge. The car packs a two still undetailed electric motor and regenerates power using the Renault Formula E breaking system.

Each of the electric motors has their own cooling system. Renault has yet to confirm the actual specs of the engine, but there are already speculations claiming that the Trezor's mileage will be limited given its engine configuration.
