Dell XPS 13 2-In-1, The Ultimate Surface Pro And MacBook Competition! Experts Even Think It Is Better

Dell has been dominating the US market until MacBooks and Surface Pros entered the picture. However, with the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1, Dell may be back as one of the toughest players in terms of manufacturing the best laptops ever. This latest Dell device is reported to be even better than Microsoft's Surface Pro and Apple's MacBook according to experts.

According to CNET, the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 is rated an 8.4 point average out a possible 10, with design and battery life as the highest both having 9 points as a score. This is definitely noteworthy as not many laptops are given this high of a rating. The XPS 13 2-in-1 adds a hybrid hinge and is even made thinner compared to its predecessor.

Even better is its almost bezel-free and edge-to-edge design exploits all the space needed. Every little inch of space in this device has been utilized. It is a small and compact 2-in-1 but display size is not at all compromised. The starting price takes it to a whole never level as it is made reasonable (note: reasonable but not necessarily readily affordable at $1,200).

The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 took its cues from the Dell XPS 13 which was introduced to the market back in 2015. The XPS 13 delivered a striking design which stretched the laptop display from one edge of the lid to the other which reduces the bezel. This is highly appreciated by users as space is maximized.

The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 is also described as full-time laptop and a part-time tablet. This is completely different from Surface Pro which is used as more of a tablet than a laptop. Folding it all the way 360-degrees turns the XPS 13 2-in-1 into a slim tablet like an iPad. If it is not folded as a tablet, then it makes for an excellent clamshell laptop.

The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 has 13.3-inch 1,920 x 1,080 touch display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz Intel Core i7-7Y75. It also comes with 8GB of DDR3 SDRAM 1,866MHz of memory and 128MB dedicated Intel HD Graphics 615 for its graphics.

As added by Laptop Mag, the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 is also considered not only as a refreshed version of XPS 13 released over a year ago, it is a machine with distinct design and features that make it is mostly a satisfying convertible. Dell is also introducing for the first times its Dynamic Power Mode technology on a laptop which scales up the clock speed when a user needs more performance.

Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 is one great laptop which serves it purpose. It is lightweight, yet heavy duty. Indeed, it is a worthy opponent of both the Surface Pro and MacBook. It does make sense why it is even considered better than the two.
