It's been only a few days since the ZL1 1LE's debut, and now another Chevrolet Camaro is born. The all new 2019 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 was recently spotted testing at the Nurburgring, and several spy shots are now all over the internet.

The spy shots showed the Camaro prototype with a heavy camouflage covering the front and back end before the test mule was covered with a tarp. It could be that the spy photos show a mid-cycle refresh for the sixth-generation Camaro, but its design cues seem to be too aggressive for a regular Camaro.

The 2019 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 will feature a new aerodynamics, new wheels, new suspensions, and comes with a weight saving components. Previous reports suggest that it could use a 5.5-liter LT6 V8 engine that produces 700 hp.

However, it's also not possible for the new Camaro to once again borrow from the C7 Corvette. According to GM's leaked documents, a 6.2-liter LT5 DOHC V8 engine was uncovered coming from the 2018 Corvette. So the new Camaro could be next to receive such powerful engine.

Al Oppenheiser, the lead Camaro engineer, said that the next-generation vehicle is "the ultimate track-day Camaro." The prototype is said to go on the General Motor's 2.9 miles Milford Road Course in just three seconds!

The front end also features like a fake body extension attached to it, making it, even more, harder to tell which parts are real and which once are fake. The hood also seems to have some translucent material applied on it, in a bid to cover the extra air outlets being installed there.

This camouflage-on-camouflage proves that GM, for now, wants to keep the identity of their prototype a secret. But according to a few theories, the new 2019 Camaro Z/28 could start its production sometime in the third or fourth quarter of this year, despite the reveal of the ZL1 1LE last week.
